Day 01:ARRIVAL AT GUWAHATI

You would be assisted on arrival at the airport/railway station and transferred to your hotel. After lunch, indulge yourself in sightseeing in and around Guwahati. In the evening, you would be taken for a boat cruise on the Brahmaputra (subject to flood condition) and spot river dolphin in the water. Night halt at Guwahati.

Day 02:KAMAKHYA AND TRANSFER TO SHILLONG

Visit the Kamakhya Temple, the Bhubaneswari Temple, the Umananda Temple (smallest river island), the Sankerdev Kalakshetra, Balaji Temple and the Basistha Temple in the morning. After lunch, proceed to Shillong. On arrival check-in at hotel. Evening free for leisure activities.Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03:SHILLONG TO CHERRAPUNJEE

After Breakfast, set off for Cherrapunji, the place that receives the highest rainfall in the world. Cherrapunjee is locally and officially also known as Sohra. It is situated at Shillong. It is a “must see" destination for all tourists. The average rainfall is about 12,000 mm a year and the record for a single day was 2455 mm recorded in 1974 confirming it as the “Wettest place on Earth". On the way, visit the Duwanshing Syiem View Point, Ramakrishna Mission, Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sister Falls, Eco Park, Bangladesh Border, etc.

Day 04:LIVING ROOT BRIDGE AND BACK TO SHILLONG

After breakfast, trek to the Living Root Bridge. The trek normally takes two hours. The route is replete with small village where one can relax and explore rural life. However, there is another Living root Bridge, which has "Two Tiers".This amazing bridge is a two-tier living Root Bridge (made of the roots of a living tree), connecting a chasm with a pool of jade water below. The two tiers measure 59ft and 83 ft in length respectively. The trek to this double decker is tough but worth the pains. To visit the two tier Living Root Bridge, one has to trek for about 8 to 9 hrs.Transfer to Shillong. On the way, see Mawsynram as well as the Mawsmai cave. Overnight at Shillong.

Day 05:DOWKI AND MAWLYNNONG VILLAGE

Visit Dowki (Bangladesh Border) and the Mawlynnong village. Mawlynnong Village has earned the distinction of being the cleanest village in India. It is 3 hours journey from Shillong. from Shillong and besides the picturesque village, offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock.

Day 06:DEPARTURE

Proceed to Guwahati after Breakfast. Day free till the time of departure from Guwahati airport/railway station. Tour ends with sweet memories.
